The GRASS group was founded in 1947 by Alfred GRASS. a few years later, in 2004, the Grass group was acquired by the multinational Würth, which already had more than 400 companies under its name.
This was followed in 2007 by the merger of GRASS and Mepla- Alfit, a door fitting manufacturer that had previously been acquired by Würth.
since 2009 the three companies have been operating under the GRASS brand name.
