For more than 85 years, DICTATOR has been dedicated to manufacturing door catches, door closers (for both flush and surface mounting), spring hinges and door latches. The company was founded in 1932 in Amsterdam as DICTATOR Doorcloser Maatschappij. In 1949, they moved to Bussum and since 1965 they are located in Emmeloord.
Since 1988, they are part of the international DICTATOR Group, with the head office in Neusäß, South Germany.
The DICTATOR Group has a number of production sites within Europe. Each DICTATOR branch operates independently and can focus 100% on and specialise in its own products. That way, market developments or special customer requirements can be anticipated fast and flexibly. Besides that, DICTATOR also offers the continuity and security of a large corporation.
